Punta de Teno from Adeje takes more planning than a local beach outing. Tenerife’s northwestern coast rewards an unhurried visit, but access and the return journey need checking first. From Villa Dolce Vita, consider a day in Buenavista del Norte with Teno included only when road conditions and the bus service allow.
Check access before building the itinerary
The official TITSA route 369 page connects Buenavista with Punta de Teno and carries an exclusive-bus-access notice. It also warns that services may be suspended when weather causes the road to close.
Check the page and service notices on your travel day. Do not assume you can drive to the lighthouse or rely on a timetable saved from another holiday. Road signs and instructions from the authorities take priority over this or any other travel guide.

Planning Punta de Teno from Adeje
First organise your journey to Buenavista. We recommend a car from Armeñime for this outing, depending on road conditions. Review the full route before leaving and allow time to park legally and find the bus stop.
Then check route 369’s outbound and return departures for the correct type of day: weekday, weekend or public holiday. Also check service disruptions and the current stop locations. We do not reproduce fares or departure times here, so an old copy cannot become your only source.
Choose a return with breathing space. Depending on the last departure leaves little room for disruption or a change of plan. Save the official information, then consult it again if conditions change while you are out.
What to expect at Teno
The coastal scenery and lighthouse surroundings are the focus. This guide does not promise entry inside the lighthouse or open facilities. Bring drinking water, sun protection and what you need for an outdoor stop, rather than assuming every service will be available.
Stay in permitted areas and keep away from edges. Other people standing on a rock, or a photograph taken close to the water, do not establish that access is safe. Decide about any swim according to the actual sea conditions and signs. Swimming is not a guaranteed part of this plan.
Buenavista can be your destination too
Allow time for Buenavista’s town centre before or after Teno. A walk and a meal help spread out the day without adding another demanding drive. For a group, confirm restaurant opening and a table directly before relying on them.
If the road is closed or the bus suspended, use an alternative that does not depend on reaching Punta de Teno. Stay with Buenavista only if the journey there is still appropriate. When alerts affect the wider area, change the outing altogether.
Avoid a day with too many stops
Masca, Garachico and Icod deserve time of their own. Read our Masca guide and Garachico and Icod guide to choose a separate day. Adding all of them to this outing should not be the default.
Before returning, check traffic and route conditions. Also agree a departure time that works for your driver. A successful day is one with time to enjoy each place, rather than one that covers the greatest distance.
Return to your base in the south

Punta de Teno from Adeje fits a holiday with rest days between longer trips. Villa Dolce Vita in Armeñime has four bedrooms, three full bathrooms and capacity for up to nine guests. Its private outdoor heated pool is included, with no guaranteed water temperature.
Check the accommodation calendar for your dates and price. A villa reservation does not include transport, attraction tickets or excursion services.
